We are originally from Los Angeles, lived in Whittier CA for 45 yrs. And now in Oregon. Mariachi has always been part of our lives, we love it! Pico Rivera, CA (North Park Middle School) had a program that was wonderful, not certain whether it’s still going. Being of Mexican heritage has nothing to do with the music moves you or not, but it’s always made me so happy, we’d have family reunions and there was sometimes a Mariachi! The young people that performed were happy and I truly think that music is always the answer to a life that is richer! Keep up the good work and hopefully we’ll see more of you on PBS! Thank you, your music brings us not only happiness, but tears! Joyful ones!
