The 10/5/12 episode was layer on layer of grim morbidity as if written by a depressive with no faith in any lightness or goodness. It left me bitter and irritable.

I guess i’ll download “Foyle’s War” when i want more of a balanced dark/light perspective of life in Britain in WWII.
