Cinemapocalypse at the Alamo Ritz -- approximately 14 hours of all night film watching, starting with a screening of Inglorious Basterds, followed by a Q&A with Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth, then a couple of films picked by QT, some great exploitation flicks and ending with Ip Man. The best 14 hours I have ever spent in a movie theater.

So many favorite film moments, so little space to type! My most recent favorite has to be the Harry Potter Marathon at Alamo South Lamar. Sorcerer's Stone started at 4:00 a.m., and we watched all of the movies (all day), and then Deathly Hallows Part 2 at midnight. Also, the Grease/Saturday Night Fever double feature at Paramount (since people sing along, even though it is not technically a sing-along show).

Thanks KLRU!

Film Experience: It was the first time my parents took my brother and myself to the movies and dropped us off....By Ourselves. No Parents, No Mom or Dad. Just me and my little bro. It was Raiders of the Lost Ark at National Twin in Corpus christi (http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/30431). My parents were so worried about dropping us off, they kept asking the Ticket booth person a ton of questions about the Rating of the movie and all that good stuff. It was an awesome Film and even better because mom and dad were not there. The theater is not there anymore, it is now a church. It is sad to see that Corpus Christi has lost a lot of our old movie houses, that is why we need an Alamo Drafthouse down there. I'm part of South Texas Underground Film and hopefully we can give people film experiences they will talk about in the future. thanks Robert Perez Jr

My favorite film experience was when I saw Star Trek (2009). It was an advance screening, during finals week, in a very small theater with about 30-40 people. I really wasn't expecting anything at all (being more of a Star Wars person myself) but I was completely blown away with what JJ Abrams did. I went on to see it a few more times in theaters after that. Surprises are the best.

My favorite film experience was Old Yeller...one of the very first movies I remember seeing as a kid. I've never been "a crier", but this movie still turns me into one. I love the emotion and escape movies provide!

My Jurassic Park experience is, to this day, the most memorable movie going experience I've had. The scene in the kitchen with Lex, Timmy and the raptors was one of the most thrilling scenes I've ever witnessed. I still remember holding my breath and feeling like I was right next to the actors on screen the tension was so real. Thank you Mr. Spielberg for scaring the crap out of me as a child and for delivering an amazing movie that still inspires us every time we watch.
