Calvin Trillin has written countless words for The New Yorker, The Nation, Time and more than two dozen books.  His latest project is a book-length collection of pieces he’s written about Texas – a state he somehow seems to understand even better than the locals do.  Seems strange, until you realize that the Kansas City-born Trillin has done the same in his articles about New York for more than forty years.
