Saturday Night at the Movies Coming to KLRU-Q

Austin is the live music capital of the world, and for 37 years KLRU has contributed to that reputation with Austin City Limits. But increasingly, our city is gaining a reputation as an important center for the film world. That’s why starting in April, KLRU-Q will launch Saturday Night at the Movies, a full-length feature film every Saturday night, plus extra content that gives the evening an Austin spin. On KLRU-Q you’ll be able to watch your favorite movies like When Harry Met Sally, Thelma and Louise, OnceUnforgiven and Dr. Zhivago.

Saturday Night at the Movies will explore the work of legendary actors and actresses through many important films from their careers. From Marilyn Monroe in Bus Stop and Audrey Hepburn in The Nun’s Story to Sigourney Weaver in Aliens and Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke, viewers will have the chance to enjoy an exciting array of noteworthy performances.

We’re excited about this and other programming changes coming to KLRU-Q this year, but those changes depend on your support.  Your support throughout the year allows KLRU to reach beyond PBS to bring you exciting new Q program offerings like Saturday Night at the Movies, The Aviators, Wood Songs and Life on Mars.
