Q Night at the Movies for January

KLRU Q Night at the Movies spotlights a classic film each Saturday night at 8 p.m. This month our feature films will be:

January 7: Arthur
A dry British butler (John Gielgud) helps his tippling master (Dudley Moore) choose between love with a waitress (Liza Minnelli) or marriage for money. Cast: John Gielgud, Dudley Moore, Liza Minnelli.

January 14: Anastasia
An expatriate Russian general (Yul Brynner) grooms a refugee (Ingrid Bergman) to pose as the lost daughter of Czar Nicholas II. Cast: Ingrid Bergman, Yul Brynner, Helen Hayes.

January 21: Ocean’s Eleven
Danny Ocean wants to score the biggest heist in history. He combines an eleven member team, including Frank Catton, Rusty Ryan and Linus Caldwell. Their target? The Bellagio, the Mirage and the MGM Grand. All casinos owned by Terry Benedict. It’s not going to be easy, as they plan to get in secretly and out with $150 million. Starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts.

January 28: To Have and Have Not
A wartime adventure-romance in which boat skipper (Humphrey Bogart) on the Island of Martinique is approached by a Free French activist who wants to charter his boat to smuggle an important underground leader. This was Lauren Bacall’s first film and the one during which she and Bogart fell in love. Cast: Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Walter Brennan.
