We love "Lark Rise to Candleford" and the other British programs and comedies and Mysteries (Especially Foyle's War). They are civilized and mostly nobody screams at anybody else (Except for the Daleks in "Dr. Who but that's to be expected)! The News is superb and honest.
How refreshing. We only watch PBS, we don't like the obnoxious commercials on network stations, we don't have cable or satellite and that's all fine with us. The indoor antenna works just fine.

Another viewer here who misses "Last of the Summer Wine." Please consider bringing it back.

My comments on ACL are that it's slipped significantly in the past year. ACL used to be much more balanced in offering Folk, Rock, Americana, Country, Blues, R&B, and even genres which were difficult to classify. The last time I watched ACL was when the episode featuring Ryan Bingham first aired. I used to watch ACL every week without fail. Jim Knight is correct that it does seem that the programming of ACL is aimed at a much younger age group. Just because it's ACL is not reason enough to watch. I'm a musician myself and like to be exposed to various genres of music, but the music has to grab me. It's been a while since I've been "grabbed" by ACL. Sorry to say, but there haven't seemed to be many first tier acts on lately.

That said, overall I think KLRU does a good job. My wife and I have been cable-free for the last 15 years and PBS is what we most often watch. If our TV were malfunctioning so that we could ONLY get the three KLRUs, we wouldn't complain.
