CLEVELAND (August 10, 2009) The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum today announced that Austin City Limits will be officially designated an historic rock and roll site as a part of the Museum’s Landmark Series this coming October.
Terry Stewart, President and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and Terry Lickona, Executive Producer of Austin City Limits, made the announcement at the KLRU-TV studio, home of the groundbreaking Austin City Limits series now in its 35th season.
This week: Author and horticulturist Mary Irish selects hardy shrubs and trees for the Southwest. On tour, visit the Umlauf Sculpture Garden, where trees and ponds are the backdrop for Charles Umlauf’s work.
Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Kenny Babyface Edmonds, Boz Skaggs, Kenny G, Peter Cetera, Brian McKnight, celebrate legendary songwriter, producer, and maestro to the stars David Foster on Great Performances at 7 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Wednesday.
John Hiatt, Sheryl Crow, Sam Bush, among others perform with Levon Helm at the Ryman Auditorium at 9 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
