Historic Texas Courthouses: Foundations for the Future is a documentary short feature celebrating the success of the Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program of the Texas Historical Commission.

To date, dozens of beautiful Texas county courthouses have been completely restored under this nationally recognized program. This KLRU produced documentary explores the beneficial effects of courthouse restoration on the communities involved and treats viewers to breath-taking visuals of these stunning buildings.

Central Texas communities that are featured in the documentary include:

  • Giddings
  • La Grange
  • Lockhart
  • Llano
  • Lampasas
  • Cuero
  • Gonzalez
  • Waco, and
  • Hillsboro.
